The feel of warm, powerful hands resting against his bare shoulders, fingers pressing deeply into his flesh, should have surprised him. But it didn't. The touch had become alluringly familiar. Welcomed.

Randy let a smile tease at his lips as he turned to look into the burning gaze of The Game.

"I was wondering where you were."

"People to talk to," was the response he tossed out. Giving Randy simple information but never really going any deeper than absolutely necessary.

Nodding thoughtfully, Randy watched enthralled, as Hunters hands trailed slowly down his arms, stopping briefly to trace the lines of the tattoos he sported...almost with reverence.

"You looked good tonight."

"I wish we could have won," Randy offered quietly.

His apologetic tone touched Hunter. Sometimes he forgot just how young and trusting he was. He could put on a good act. Play the part of a cocky know it all with the best of them. But underneath it all, he was always looking for approval. Always needing the reassurance that Hunter was pleased.

"I wouldn't worry about that," Hunter replied. The short, gruff laugh he issued sent a chill up Randy's spine. "I'm sure RVD and Bubba are back in their dressing room thinking they own the world right now. And that's ok."

He raised his eyes and what Randy saw was something he wasn't quite prepared for. It was a cold, calculating light that had never once been directed his way. A glimpse inside of a man he was trying desperately to get to know. A man he would do anything to please.

"They can have their little moment in the sun," he continued. His voice icy and whisper soft. "It'll make the moment I destroy them a little bit sweeter." Then he looked up, a warm smile completely transforming his face. "I just love the element of surprise."

Randy felt strangely unbalanced for a moment. Hunter had the ability to change personalities with the blink of an eye. Just when you thought you had him pegged...he would become someone totally different. It could been unnerving....even frightening. But it was also something Randy found irresistible. The ever changing man in front of him was like a kaleidoscope. Every twist and turn gave you something new to look at. A completely different, breathtaking array of colors.

Randy found himself returning the smile as Hunter gently wrapped his arms around his trim waist. "I liked your little response to Austin."

Randy tilted his head in question until the light of understanding lit up his face with an impish grin.

"Oh...you mean the bit about the protein shake?"

Hunter nodded as he drew a finger down the length of Randy's chest stopping to tug playfully at the waistband of Randy's trunks.

"I've heard it called a lot of things....but that was a new one on me."

Randy dropped his eyes as he flushed with embarrassment. "I couldn't tell him where I really was." And then his head came up and the look in his eyes was pure mischief. "Could I?"

"I suppose not," Hunter chuckled. He continued to toy gently with the elastic at Randy's waist, thoroughly enjoying the barely muffled gasps of impending pleasure. "You know...all this talk has put me in the mood for...."

And before he could stop himself, Randy covered his mouth with a deep kiss. His tongue skittered along Hunter's lips, seeking the sweetness within. And feeling very much like he was rewarding him for a job well done, Hunter parted those lips and Randy groaned in appreciation.

Hunter allowed the younger man to indulge in his few seconds of possession. After all, it did feel awfully nice. The feel of his smooth, strong hands traveling over his body was heavenly. But he knew something that would be even more delicious. And he found himself about to break his own rule about personal....activities....in the locker room.

Never breaking the kiss that Randy seemed unwilling to stop, Hunter reached back and deftly turned the lock on the door.

What the hell. Rules were made to be broken.
