August/ 2004

His break up with Hunter had been far more acrimonious than he had been prepared for. Randy stood in near shock as his former lover ranted and raved, threatening to do everything from making sure he never wrestled again, to having him job to everyone including Lilian Garcia. He had expected the man to be upset. After all nobody walked out on the mighty Hunter. But in the end, his anger had simply run out of steam. He stood there, clenching his fists and panting like a worn out steam engine. And when he was finished, did nothing more than order him out of their room.

Randy understood that he'd probably being paying for his decision for a long time. But he also didn't care. He'd grown tired of the daily...make that hourly....mood swings. And he longed for the chance to be with someone he didn't fear.

Wisely, he hadn't bothered telling Hunter that one of the reasons he was leaving him was currently waiting for him in California. There really didn't seem to be any reason to tempt fate. Besides, he'd find out soon enough.

But as he headed down to the hotel lobby to try and secure a room of his own, he found himself smiling. He was finally free to enjoy something he thought he'd never have...a happy, pain free relationship.

Rock had come as a complete and total surprise to him. Sure he was incredibly handsome, funny and oozing with charm. But he was also smarter than most people gave him credit for, wonderfully generous...and the most gentle man he'd ever known.

Memories of their first night together were like gold to Randy. Rare and precious moments that had more value than he could put words to.

Rock had tried to talk him out of coming to his room that first night. He thought it better to tell Hunter it was over before they started anything. But for the first...and only time in his life, Randy did something without thinking it to death.

He knew what his body and his heart was telling him. And even though he was terrified, he assured Rock that he knew exactly what he was doing.

The only lie he'd ever told him.

Watching him pace back and forth angrily was proving to be far more entertaining than Rock had anticipated. Randy was prone to outbursts like this. His tendency to take everything far too seriously often took control of his emotions.

But he was a vision that Rock's hungry eyes devoured, as he strode from one side of the room to the other, punctuating each bitten off phrase with bitter precision. Rock had trouble concentrating on what he was actually saying as he watched the long, hard muscles of his thighs work underneath his skin. His beautifully rounded ass made his fingers itch just to cup it's exquisite softness. And his generous cock bobbed as he stomped across the carpet. Almost teasing the man lying on the bed to come and enjoy it's wonders.

"Randy," he chided gently. "You really need to calm down."

The younger man froze in his journey and stared in near disbelief at the man comfortably sprawled on their bed.

"Calm down? How the hell am I supposed to calm down? You heard what Hunter said on TV tonight."

Laughing gently, Rock looked up at his young lover.

"Yeah..I heard him. And trust me, it's nothing I haven't heard before. You keep forgetting....I've known the man a lot longer than you have. Nothing he says bothers me."

"Well it bothers me," Randy snapped. "I can't even stand to hear him say your name."

Rock's eyes widened just a bit. Apparently he had underestimated the depth of Randy's ire.

"Well did it ever occur to you that he does it just to piss you off?"

He could see the anger in Randy's dove gray eyes, dissipate just slightly.

"Yeah...maybe."

Holding out a hand, Rock gestured to him. "So get back into this bed and let's forget about him."

With a smile that always lightened Rock's heart, he slipped under the sheet that Rock casually flipped back with his foot.

"I'm sure we can think of something to take your mind off him."

Randy eased himself into the two strong arms waiting for him and did what he always did whenever he and Rock were like this. Face to face, bodies melded together, lips parted in anticipation.

He remembered.

August / 2004....the first time

Sexual arousal was one thing. But this was a desire that defied description. He wanted him...needed him ...so completely that every fear and doubt he had meant nothing. Not if the beautiful man, so gloriously displayed before him, meant even half the things he'd said to him.

As they approached the bed Randy knew only one thing...the past be damned....he was going to have this man no matter what.

He laid down silently, burying his face in the pillow and waited. He understood about the pain and was more than willing to accept it if it meant making his dark eyed god smile.

The bed shifted slightly as Rock moved over him. The feel of his warm breath against him, raised goosebumps along his skin. A gentle kiss was placed against the back of his neck as Rock lowered his body slightly...and then stopped.

He could feel Randy tense up beneath him. Every muscle in his body hard with anticipation...or fear. Looking up he saw the younger man's hands knotted in the sheets, knuckles white with the effort. Sitting back just slightly to get his balance again, Rock reached out both of his own hands and rested them on top of Randy's.

"Relax," he whispered. "I'm not going to hurt you...I promise."

A long held breath stuttered from between Randy's lips. He turned his head slightly and caught Rock's eyes, trying all the while to at least attempt a smile.

Rock shifted his weight and moved to the side. "Turn over."

It wasn't exactly a command. But Randy could feel despair weighing down his heart. He'd done something wrong....again.

He rolled his body slowly, keeping his eyes cast downward.

The feel of Rock's hand, gently cupping his cheek, brought his head up in surprise.

"What the hell did he do to you?" Rock asked softly.

Gazing up into his smoky eyes, Randy wasn't quite sure what to say.

But Rock was.

"You've never made love...have you?"

"Of course I have," Randy replied almost defensively.

Rock's thumb traced a gentle circle where it rested on the younger man's flushed cheek. "No you haven't," he corrected him. "You've had sex...and probably rotten sex at that. But you've never had anyone love you."

Randy had no idea how they started...or even why. But he could feel hot tears spilling from his eyes. The humiliation of having this man know something he never even admitted to himself, combined with a want so painful he couldn't breathe, was almost too much for him to handle.

Rock brushed the tears aside and placed a tender kiss on his lips.

"This is totally up to you," he began. His voice was calming, soothing. "We can stop now ...or....you can trust me, and let me show you exactly how you should be treated."

Trust. Something Randy had forgotten existed. But he wanted to trust this man. He wanted to have what other people seemed to take for granted.

He opened his mouth to respond but could only nod silently as he offered a hopeful smile.

Rock moved over him again. "Just remember....one word, and I'll stop."

But Randy had no intention of speaking. Instead, he reached up and brought the other man's head down for a pleading kiss.

Rock accepted the gesture willingly and let his hands drift down over Randy's broad chest. Gentle fingertips circled his puckered nipples before sliding down to caress his sides. The kiss continued, tongues twisting effortlessly as soft sounds emanated from Randy's throat.

Rock broke the kiss reluctantly and moved his mouth lower, sucking gently along Randy's collarbone as his hands rested against the younger man's hips.

Randy had felt this sensation before. Overwhelming physical need. But it was always at this point that the fear took over. He could feel his mouth go dry as he closed his eyes and tried to choke back the apprehension.

Rock continued to stroke his skin as he tentatively reached out his other hand.

The touches were featherlight at first. Randy literally jumped at the contact. But soon he was arching into the feeling. Lifting his hips as he soundlessly begged Rock to continue.

The other man could feel the throbbing beneath his fingers as his hand wrapped around the hardened shaft. Glancing up at Randy, he gave him a reassuring smile and lowered his mouth to taste the shining drop of pre-cum that beckoned to him.

Suckling softly, he swirled his tongue slowly and then lowered his head inch by torturous inch.

The body beneath him was writhing in ecstasy. Randy gripped his shoulders and sighed deeply. The feeling was almost indescribable. Hot, wet and totally consuming. But almost like flying. And as much as he never wanted it to end...he craved so much more.

And without being told...Rock knew.

Without speaking, he prepared him slowly...almost reverently.

As he positioned himself to enter him, he placed his lips once more against Randy's waiting mouth.

"Trust me."

The kiss was warm and deep. And Randy was so consumed by it that the feeling of Rock filling him was almost a rhythmic accompaniment.

The larger man paused, waiting until Randy was ready. Something that nearly shocked Randy into immobility. Previous experience had taught him to simply close his eyes and deal with the discomfort. But this sensation was so unexpected...so incredible that he found himself staring in awe at the man poised above him.

"Are you OK? he asked.

Randy nodded, almost imperceptibly and surprised himself by wrapping his legs tightly around Rock's slender hips. "I want you...please," he urged.

And it was like nothing he had ever been through before. It was white hot....but so full of tenderness that the onslaught of emotions literally had his head spinning. For the first time in his life, he offered himself completely. Content in the belief that he was safe.

The climax drove all the air from his lungs as his body exploded into a million pieces. The sounds coming from him seemed to be originating from a place far, far away. And all he knew was that his life would never be the same again.

When he was able to think clearly again, he moved just enough so that Rock was forced to lift his head from where it lay limply against his damp shoulder.

Randy's fingers traced the lush outline of Rock's lips before moving to stroke the smooth skin of his neck. Then pulling his face closer, he kissed his cheek and whispered into his ear.

"Let's do it again."

October - 2004

It wasn't just sex. It wasn't even making love anymore. It was a necessary connection. And even though each time was extraordinary, Randy would always rest in Rock's arms when they were done and recall the night it had all changed for him.

Then he would smile and let his lover wrap him in a protected embrace.

As his eyes dipped closed, he waited for the sweet reward of a deep, peaceful sleep to wash over him. He felt the tender kiss pressed to his forehead...and anticipated the words....

"Ou te alofa ia te oe."

They were always whispered so softly that Randy was never quite sure he was meant to hear them. He no longer asked what they meant because he knew he'd receive the same response each time.

"You don't need to know that yet."

Which was fine. Because what he did know....... was that he was no longer afraid.
