Moonbeams filtered through the high windows of the loft.
The sweet sound of cicadas echoed off the walls.
Candles cast an eerie glow across the floor.
Two bodies, wrapped in each other's arms, lay on a blanket covering the hay.
Whispers fill the room - two lovers making small talk in the afterglow.
"Tell me your secrets."
"I don't have any secrets - not from you."
"Everyone has secrets. There's always something you keep for yourself, something no one else knows."
A brilliant smile creased the corners of his mouth. His face shone like the moon itself.
"Maybe I do have secrets."
He raised his head, rested it on his hand. Studied his lover's face.
"Tell me."
A shake of the head, a short laugh.
"They aren't important."
A quick peck on the cheek.
"They are to me. I want to know everything about you."
Another kiss, more lingering than the first.
"I already told you - there's nothing you don't know about me."
A soft sigh escaped his lips. Looked deep into his lover's eyes.
"I don't mean the stuff everyone else knows. Not the interview stuff you tell."
This time, his lover sighed.
"Why are you asking me now? After…what, three years? Is there something you want to tell me?"
A blush.
A slight smile before he turned his head.
"Maybe."
Strong arms wrapped around his waist, pulled him closer.
"Tell me your secrets then, love. Tell me all your fantasies."
"I'll tell you mine, if you tell me yours."
A slight nod of the head encouraged him.
"I've always wanted to go to Spain."
A deep, throaty chuckle.
"Spain, huh?"
Nod.
"I wanted to be a doctor when I was a boy. What about you?"
Twinkling eyes met his.
"I wanted to be a cowboy."
A shared laugh.
"You might not be a cowboy, but at least you played one."
"True."
Strong, gentle hands stroked his back.
"I used to have this dream that I was an fairy."
A cocked eyebrow. A slight smile.
"You know, like with wings and everything."
"Like Tinkerbell?"
"Mmm hmmm."
"I bet you were a beautiful fairy."
Giggle.
"It was only a dream."
Warm lips nuzzle his neck.
"You are a dream. My dream come true."
Naked legs intertwined, bodies moved teasingly against each other.
"Anything else?"
Another nod, a thoughtful look.
"Maybe."
"You know you can tell me anything. I won't laugh."
Sigh.
"I'm not worried about you laughing. I don't want you to think…"
He turned, looking out the window.
"Think what?"
Big brown eyes searched his.
"That I'm a freak or something."
Loud laughter. Head thrown back.
"I'm more of a freak than you could ever think of being."
A quizzical look.
"What do you mean?"
"You've seen the picture. Eyeliner. Makeup. Fur coat."
Another giggle.
"You looked like the drag queen from hell. Or that guy in "Silence of the Lambs". You know, the killer guy."
An offended stare, one strong hand on his chest.
"I am hurt."
"No, you're not. You know it's true!"
Laughter.
"Maybe you're right."
Another kiss, even deeper than before.
"So tell me this thing. What goes on in that pretty head that would make me think you were a freak?"
He whispered in his lover's ear, a bright blush creeping up his face.
He was rewarded with a smile, a soft caress, a kiss and a nod.
"I think we can do that."
Wide eyed, he surveyed the other man's face, searching those big blue eyes.
"You mean it? You really mean…you'd want to…"
A loving smile.
"I'd do anything for you, Orli. You know that."
A sigh of relief.
"I love you, Vigs."
His brain spun out of control, the possibilities of fulfilling his lover's request making him heady with joy…anticipation…lust.
"I love you, too."
