Matt Hardy was sitting in a bar surrounded by a group of wrestlers… co-workers. Paul Leveque, Sean Waltman, Mark Calloway, and Glen Jacobs were the main ones seated at the table but various others would wander up and chat for awhile then wander away. Matt had a lot of friends backstage. It helped that he was so heavily involved in the show because of his single-minded passion for the business. It also helped that he fucked like a bunny.

Sex was sex and love was love. Rarely in Matt's 27 years had the two intertwined. I did say rarely… because in his 27 years there was one person… one absolutely complete person that he found. Someone he loved. Someone who made his body come alive at the slightest touch. Someone who simply made him ache.

Up in his room Jeff Hardy sat with his guitar and a pad of paper. Next to him was his long time friend Shannon Moore. Shannon was visiting from HWA and the two friends chose to spend their time working on their music rather than hitting the bars with the other guys. Jeff just simply wasn't into all that partying like everyone expected he would be.

He was almost painfully shy and had a hard time making friends. Those friends he did have though were very close and dear to him. The problem with Jeff was that… well he was just so different than most of society that most of the world couldn't relate to the REAL Jeff. They loved the flashy beautiful risk taker they saw on TV and didn't have any use for the quiet, intelligent, young man that gave little thought to the rules or restrictions the rest of the world wanted to bind him to.

All his life he'd longed to be loved and understood for who he was. Not for what society thought he should be. Not for what his fans wanted him to be. But there were few people that were willing to do that. One of them was Shannon… his best friend. Shannon had always quietly accepted Jeff as is never asking or expecting anything but what Jeff gave. The other was… simply his reason for breathing. He was the reason he got up in the morning. He was the reason he put up with being 2 different people. He was the reason he put up with society's narrow-mindedness. He was simply his life and as long as his very heart rested in his hands… Jeff would continue simply being Jeff.

Down in the bar Matt looked around at the people surrounding him and sighed. As he took a long swig from his beer the others at his table looked at each other and smiled.

"Matthew, I gotta question for you," Paul said.

Matt looked at Paul curiously and shrugging his shoulders said, "Ok man, shoot."

"Why are you down here drinking beer waiting to see if one of us will fuck you when we all know you really want to be up in your hotel room with your brother getting some lovin'?" Paul looked at Matt amused as the younger man choked on the beer he'd just taken another swig of.

"What the hell are you talking about?" Matt asked shocked.

Mark laughed looking amused at the younger man's shock. "Come on boy do you really think it was a secret? You've been around long enough to know that there aren't any real secrets backstage. Everyone knows you and your little brother are a couple. Do you think we're idiots?"

"Come on man," Sean said laughing at Matt's shock. "It's kinda obvious. I mean we all have siblings or know siblings, and we have all at least seen people who are in love and frankly you two don't act like siblings. You act like a married couple."

Glenn tried to take pity on the young man but couldn't help but add, "Yeah and it doesn't help that Jeff yells your name like a banshee when he comes."

Matt felt his face grow warm and sat dazed before he finally remembered how to talk. "And you guys don't have a problem with this?"

Paul shrugged and after taking a drink of his own beer said, "there are a few that think it's wrong, but they won't bug you about it."

"Look kid," Mark started, "you and Jeffy don't flaunt your relationship and as long as you don't shove it in people's faces you won't have a problem."

"As time goes on you'll realize who you can be open with and who you can't." Sean offered. "It's just like everyone else. Paul and I have been together for years, but we don't push out relationship on people. Would we like to be open and show our feelings to the world?? Hell yeah! Specially me… I get really tired of hiding, but I know that if I do something stupid then I may risk losing that thing that means most to me. So, I watch what I do when I'm around people that I know don't care for my lifestyle. I let myself relax around those that accept it even if they don't care for it and I let myself be as open as I want to around my friends whom I know love me and accept my feelings for Paul."

"I think it's safe to say Kiddo that you and your brother hide a lot more than you have to," Mark said and waited for the other men to agree before continuing. "There isn't a person at this table that you two have to hide from."

"I also happen to know that there are at least four other guys you don't have to hide from either," Paul said as he watched Sean take pity on Matt who was becoming emotional and put an arm around the younger man. "The Kliq doesn't care what you and Jeff do."

"Shit Matty if start kissin' Jeff in front of Kevin you'll be lucky if he doesn't start directing traffic," Sean joked trying to lighted the mood and was rewarded by a small chuckle from Matt.

"Well that would be a new experience for us," Matt admitted. "I just can't believe that you all are cool with this. I mean… a lot of the reason Jeff spends so much time by himself is that he hates hiding and having to pretend he and we are something that we aren't. Well that and he's just so damn shy it's hard for him to make friends… but if he knew that he could be open or at least more open around some of you…"

"I think kid you need to go up and see that little brother of yours and tell him the good news," Glenn suggested softly.

Matt grinned at his friends with watery eyes. "I don't know how to thank you," he said before rushing off to see Jeff.

Up in the hotel room Shannon was watching Jeff struggle to explain to him the meaning of one of his love songs. Finally Shannon had to take pity on his friend and interrupting said softly, "Jeffy all you had to say was that it's about you and Matty."

"What do you mean?" Jeff asked panicking. Hearing the door to the room open he turned to see Matt enter all grins, but turned his attention back to Shannon.

"Jeffy," Shannon started smiling briefly at Matt then back at his best friend. "We have known each other for years. You and Matty are like family to me. I know you two are… in love… involved… You are more a couple than most socially acceptable couples I know."

"You mean you don't care Shanny?" Jeff asked as Matt came and sat down behind his brother taking his lover in his arms.

"No Jeffy… besides you've always told me that we are as close as you and Matty… were you lying?" Shannon asked watching his friend closely.

"No!" Jeff insisted shaking his head.

"Well then… why should it be ok with me to fuck… no… to make love to you and it not be ok with me that you love Matty?? You have little faith in me my friend." With that Shannon got up and after placing a gentle kiss on the lips of each Matt and Jeff left the room.

Behind him the brothers sat one holding the other. Somehow in the night of revelations the pair that had snubbed their noses at society's rules seemed to be content with just quietly sitting and being together.

Shannon in the meantime had made his way down to the bar and spotting his friends bounced through the bar ignoring the lustful looks of the few women present and launched himself into the waiting arms of Paul and Sean.

Paul smiled then pulled the giggling young man into his arms. "It worked it worked!" Shannon squealed as he turned and threw his arms around his large lover.

"Pauly and I told ya it would didn't we baby?" Sean asked smiling at his lovers.

Shannon wiggled out of Paul's lap and launched himself at his other lover and kissed his happily all over his face until both men were wrapped in some strange combination of giggling and lust.

Mark and Glenn looked at each other and grinned. "How do you do it boy?" Mark asked Paul.

"Paul grinned and said, "That's a revelation for another night."
