Sighing softly, Scotty rolled over and opened his eyes to see his sleeping imp. Smiling, he lifted a hand to stroke a cheek covered in a night's growth of stubble, happy when it's mate was involuntarily rubbed into his hand as the imp slept. The safety of the room, empty except for himself and his sleeping love, gave him a rare opportunity to put Raven in his place, allowing him a moment of peace and beauty.
Raven was good for a lot of things, but sweetness and tenderness weren't two of them. The infuriating other half of himself had no use for things of a softer nature. When his cherub stirred in his sleep Scotty automatically stiffened and held his breath ready to let Raven back out at the first sign of those brown eyes hidden at the moment beneath closed lids and long beautiful lashes. Then as he remembered whom he was with Scotty smiled and relaxed. Long gone were the days in which he had to hide Scotty from the one he loved for fear of his gentle nature being damaged or worse yet destroyed in the harshness and pain that was and still is Stevie Richards. After years of drowning within the darker side of love, then suffocating within the emptiness and loneliness that had come after breaking free of the strangle hold the evil side of himself had on Stevie, PJ had come into his life as almost as a herald of goodness and love.
For the first time since Raven had been created opening the Pandora's box that came with him, Scotty was with someone that loved both halves of him. PJ, while understanding and at times appreciative of all that came with Raven, felt no urge to let him take over their lives. His years of battling the stronger wills and egos that resided within the Kliq gave him all of the preparation he needed. PJ knew that the darker half of one's soul or the souls of the ones that you loved were needed and necessary to balance out the power of goodness and love, which at times could be suffocating in it's own way.
While he loved his Kliq brothers with a unique love/hate that comes automatically with any close family, PJ had found his own freedom within the arms of the entity that was Scotty Levy. With the Kliq, PJ was the baby. Patted on the head and adored and, while listened to occasionally, rarely heard or taken seriously. With Scotty however he'd found a one-man audience that not only listened and heard his opinions, but valued them and took them very seriously. At the same time he was cherished and loved in a way that he'd never been before… not even Sean, who was his soul mate within his Kliq family.
Scotty had reached a point in his life where he'd come to think that Stevie was the closest he was going to get to a soul mate. When PJ finally "came into his life" he hadn't exactly been a stranger. They had spent years together in the purgatory of ECW suffering along with the rest of their family. PJ had seen Scotty at his lowest and worst. He knew exactly what risks he was taking with his health and sanity by entering into a relationship with Raven but had done it anyway. Scotty once overheard someone say that Stevie had been perfectly sane and healthy before he met Raven and Scotty was afraid that they were telling the truth.
During the ECW days Raven had been too entwined and engrossed within the tangled web of pain and torture that had been his relationship with Stevie to take Peter Polaco too seriously. For Raven, Peter had been nothing more than a wide-eyed Kliq cub that had fled the pack to prove that he was a grown wolf after all. Raven had no use back then for someone playing at being hardcore.
PJ on the other hand had been too happily wrapped up within the safe haven he'd found in Lance, Francine, and Jim to consider the mess that he saw within Raven who too closely resembled some of the problems he'd left behind. That wasn't to say though that Scotty hadn't caught his eye. Somehow underneath all the armor and layers of darkness that existed back then, he'd noticed Scotty Levy and not long after they'd finally found their way together Pete had shyly confessed that he'd always wondered just who Scotty really was. Of course he hadn't used those exact words. PJ's vocabulary was riddled with more four-letter words than a whole battalion of military men, which Scotty absolutely loved.
PJ was simply the other half of his soul… a very battered and bruised soul, but one that under PJ's loving attention was healing quite nicely. PJ stirred again and this time there was no panic, instead a big smile spread across the face of Scott Levy that most of Raven's fans and foes would say he was incapable of.
"Morning, beautiful," Scotty greeted, smirking because he knew what would becoming next. A low growl and a tug on long blond braids to bring them nose-to-nose. " LOOK BLONDIE," PJ growled predictably. "I AIN'T FUCKIN' BEAUTIFUL! That's for motherfuckers like HBK or Jeff Hardy or that Shannon Moore kid. I'm just PJ, birdbrain GOT IT?"
Just like every morning Scotty would slip away for a moment and let Raven come out to play with his new foe Justin Credible. In a move that would probably get him banned from live TV had he done it on Heat, Raven rolled his bald lover over and fucked him into submission. It wouldn't be until he heard the shouted words, "OH FUCK, I GIVE," as he burst over Raven's hand and chest causing Raven to follow shooting in and over PJ's ass, that the match would find a winner.
Scotty then came back out drawing Pete out as well. Rolling them over again so that he was on his back and Pete was curled into his side with his head on Scotty's shoulder. As he lay there playing with the multicolored braids PJ wrinkled up his nose and pouted. "I ain't fuckin' beautiful."
Sighing happily Scotty smiled and let PJ have his way. After all a life like this was worth a lost battle or two even for the enigma known as Scotty Levy
