Angel and May sat on the couch at Kevin and Angel's condo listening to Scott and Kevin rant and rave about the latest happenings of The Game. Angel had gotten lost in the course of their rantings and wasn't sure what Paul had done this time but she knew Kev and Scott were reaching the end of their rope where Hunter was concerned. During his campaign to overcome the Kliq he somehow managed to alienate himself from those friends that had taken him under their wings early on in his career and gotten him to where he was today. To Angel their biggest problem seemed to be that there were such extreme differences in opinion about Hunter.

Kevin and Scott seemed bound and determined to get rid of him… tired of watching, what appeared to them, as his constant trouble making within the group. HBK seemed to waffle between wanting to kill Hunter and missing him desperately… it was getting to the point where Angel was starting to worry about him. She hadn't talked to him in months and was sure it was because of the issues with Paul.

Justin was normally the one that Kevin could count on getting the least resistance from when he made a decision but these days Justin was unusually vocal in defending his friend. The normally the quiet member of the group was quite adamant about Hunter being allowed to remain Kliq. She hadn't told May yet but knew that Justin had even gone so far as to tell Kevin that if they kicked out Paul they might as well consider him gone too. Kevin wavered from wanting to add Justin to his hit list to being baffled at his Bald Boy's attitude on the subject.

Then there was The Kid… he was the one that puzzled Angel the most. She thought that he would be the one to defend Hunter to the ends of the earth, but so far he was remaining quiet… too quiet if you asked her (which no one would). The whole situation didn't set right with Angel and she was beginning to think that she was going to have to take matters into her own hands.

Angel tugged on May's arm to get her attention and when her friend looked at her Angel nodded towards the patio door. Getting up she casually walked outside waiting for May to come join her.

"What's up?" May asked.

"I dunno… you tell me," Angel replied. "What do you think about this whole deal with Paul?"

"I have no clue… I got lost somewhere after Kevin called him a dumb fucker," May said snickering.

"I don't mean just today, but the whole thing," Angel explained. "Don't you think that this is awfully strange?"

"How so?" May asked sitting down on one of the patio chairs.

Angel walked over and plopped down on the deck in front of her as she stared at Kevin through the glass of the patio door before answering. "Well I know that the Kliq being divided on a decision isn't unusual, but the way they are divided is. Normally Justin is the one that sits quietly and goes with the flow, but this time he is fighting Kevin all the way. Sean who I know is typically our middleman absolutely refuses to even discuss it this time. When Kevin tried to talk to him Sean hung up on him. HBK has changed his mind so many times that Kevin is about ready to hit him and I'm starting to worry he's gonna get whiplash. Kev told me that he was all prepared to fight Sean and HBK on this, but this fight with PJ just has him baffled."

"PJ is sticking up for Hunter?" May asked sure that she hadn't heard right.

"Yeah," Angel confirmed, "instead of the two we would have expected to fight for him."

"That is definitely weird," May stated, "you are right."

"What do you think is going on?"

"I don't know," Angel admitted still looking at Kevin who was now staring at her as he ranted with Scott. "But I think you and I should look into this."

"US?!?" May asked surprised. "What do you think that WE can accomplish?"

"I dunno, but it has to be better than what the guys are doing. Kev refuses to even think about the possibility that something strange might be going on." Angel stopped suddenly and turning looked at May thoughtfully as she tapped on her lips with her finger.

"What," May asked warily as she could practically see the wheels turning in Angel's head.

"You know if I called Taker he could get us backstage for a couple days… say a Sunday house show and then the Monday and Tuesday tapings. I could even get Kevin to let us go alone if I Mark told him that he'd watch us. Once we were there we could see what we could find out. I think I could get Sean to tell me what is going on with him… probably PJ too." Angel turned back to the patio door to see Kevin and Scott standing on the other side looking at them.

"We're being watched Sis," May pointed out even though she knew Angel had already seen them.

"I see that," Angel mumbled not really paying attention. Her brain was still too focused on the Kliq problems. "Sis, I just know something bad is going on… I can feel it. I don't think it's as obvious as what it looks like either."

"What do you think is wrong?" May asked turning away from the men to look at Angel.

"I don't know… but my gut tells me that Paul is in trouble," Angel replied quietly. Angel made a hand motion of a phone and watched as Kevin picked up the cordless off the table then coming outside brought it to her.

Silently Kevin handed her the phone and watched as she wordlessly dialed. He could tell that she was up to something by the way she kept silently studying him, but he had no idea what exactly was going on in her mind. He had a feeling that it involved the Kliq and with all the problems with Paul he was sure that it had something to do with him.

Angel and May both were as protective if not more so of the various members than the guys even were themselves. The girls also had the ability sometimes to see issues clearer than the rest of them because they were slightly more removed than the rest. Angel especially because outside of their relationship she normally looked at the rest on a level basis not putting one ahead of the rest with the exception of HBK whom he knew she cared for and sometimes suspected more so even that she did him. He had learned that he should trust her when it came to Kliq matters, but this time he didn't want her involved.

As Angel listened to the phone ring while she waited on Mark to answer his cell she leaned back on her elbows and looked up at Kevin.

"What!" Mark growled as he answered his phone.

"Damn, aren't you Mr. Grumpy pants tonight," Angel teased unaffected by his bluster used to Kevin's moods.

"Angel-girl, that you?" Mark asked calming down.

"Yup it's me… it's me," she said laughing.

"Lordy girl, you sound like Page," Mark drawled. "What can I do ya for darlin'?"

"I need a favor Marky," She said sweetly.

"Oh God how much trouble is it gonna get me in?" Mark groaned teasingly.

"HA, ya big grump. I need you to get May and I backstage for a couple three days and then promise Kevin you'll watch over us so he'll let me come visit without him." Angel saw Kevin raise his eyebrow as he looked down at her… she knew that he would be really curious now to find out what she was up to.

"Shiiit girl, I thought you wanted a favor," Mark drawled again happily. "I can do that no sweat. You tell Nash I'll take gooooooooood care of you doll-face."

Angel giggled at Marks antics on the other end of the phone, "Oh I am sure you would Dead Man."

"When ya wanna come?" Mark asked her nodding at Sean Waltman and Hunter who had come into his dressing room.

Angel broke out into a big grin and said, "Oh I am sure I will be coming in a few hours, but I thought I would visit like Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday."

Mark broke out onto a loud laugh saying, "you are bad Angel-girl… Nash is corrupting you."

"I think I can arrange that. Tell Nash I'll make sure you girls have a room that connects with Glenn and I. Call me when you get your flight info so I can have someone at the airport to meet you. Your boys just came into the room by the way."

"Ok Marky thanks… which ones?" She asked.

"Paul and the little shit," Mark let her know.

"Lemmie talk to Paul," Angel requested as she sat up and looked down at the deck so she didn't have to see Kevin narrowing his eyes at her.

Mark handed the phone to Paul telling him it was Angel and Paul answered with a, "Hey sweets!"

"Hey yourself, Pauly," Angel said smiling, "Guess what!"

"What?" Paul asked happy to talk to Angel.

"May and I are coming to visit for a few days," she said tracing imaginary shapes in the wood of the deck.

"Cool, you bringing Nash and Fuzzy?" Paul asked trying to sound casual but failing miserably.

"No," Angel said quietly knowing Paul would be disappointed, "It's just us girls, Muscles."

"Oh, they're still really mad at me I take it?" he asked quietly.

"Yeah they are," she confirmed.

"Are you mad at me too, Angelique?" He asked afraid to hear the answer.

"No, but I wanna talk to you Pauly," Angel said.

"Why you gonna yell at me too?" he asked pouting.

"No, Muscles, I'm not," she said trying to quietly reach him.

"You aren't?" he asked surprised.

"No, but we are gonna talk and you are gonna tell me the truth or I'm washin' my hands of the whole mess and when Kev n' Scotty kick your ass outta the Kliq I won't even attempt to help," she threatened. "So, you have from now 'til Sunday to decide what you are gonna do. You can talk to me and I will see what I can do to help or you can keep your mouth shut and shoot yourself in the foot."

"Angel you don't know what you are asking me to do," Paul said panicking.

"I think I do Muscles," Angel said knowing she had the full attention of everyone listening. "I am not Nash. I think you are in trouble and I don't mean with the Kliq. I think that something bad is going on with you and I think I have an idea who is responsible. I think you got forced into something. I think at first you thought you could handle it because you were Kliq and that would protect you; but now you are over your head and drowning instead of asking for help. I think that you are way past the point now that Kevin will listen to you objectively, but like I said I'm not Nash."

"I think you need help from someone baby if you're gonna make it out of this with any friends left. I think that this is your last chance. Kevin is standing in front of me. He knows by now what I am up to, so I am risking A LOT offering to help you, Muscles. You have two choices. One, you can tell me everything. Or two, you can keep your mouth shut. IF by some idiotic notion you think you can con me you better think again."

"I would also suggest that you remember this Paul Levesque. If I help you and you screw with me then I'm gonna get you. There won't be anyone that will save you 'cause you'll never see it coming. I know a lot of people in the business thanks to Kev n' Scotty and I have a lot of friends. Some of those are people Kev likes and some are people he doesn't. Fuck with me and I will bury you. There ain't a man in the world that does revenge better than a woman. It's true what they say… 'Hell Hath No Fury Like A Woman Scorned'. You're out of time Paul… you need to put up or shut up. It's time for you to decide if you wanna be Kliq or be on the outside lookin' in."

"I have to decide if I'm Kliq?" Paul asked incredulously. "I am more Kliq than the rest of them put together."

"I will be there Sunday Muscles," Angel repeated having said all she was willing to until she found out more. "Tell Marky I will talk to him laters, ok?"

"Yeah bye," Paul said before hanging up the phone.

Clicking the off button Angel looked up reluctantly and was not surprised to see Kevin glaring down at her. Angel raised her hand to get help up and was yanked up off her butt by Kevin as a result.

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Kevin growled.

Unafraid Angel looked up and said, "What you should have done a long time ago, but were too busy with Scotty to do."

"This is none of your business," Kevin growled. "This is a Kliq matter and YOU ARE NOT KLIQ. You will stay out of it."

"No I won't," Angel said quietly. "Something is very wrong here and you aren't handling it. All you're doing is ignoring it because you're too busy throwing a temper tantrum to see what is in front of your face."

"I am not giving you a choice here," Kevin growled, "this is none of your business and you are not going."

"I don't need your permission, Kevin," she said her mind made up. "I am going and I am getting involved. I don't need your help to get backstage."

"Go and we're through," Kevin threatened.

Angel's face paled and her lower lip started to quiver, but her resolve held. "Paul is my friend. He needs someone to help him. If the KLIQ is unwilling to do it then I am going to. You know I remember when there was nothing stronger than the loyalty of the Kliq. It's sad to see that you fools have let pride get in between what were once great friendships. I'll go pack my stuff."
