Chapter Two
Dave yawned and scowling turned to look at his sister once more. "Remember the rules." Barely holding back the sigh and eye roll, Anas nodded smiling sweetly. "Stay away from Paul, Adam, and anyone that you don't get along with. Try not to be alone with anyone I don't want killed. Don't cause trouble." Nodding shortly Dave turned and stomped into the building with Anas running to keep up with him. Silently she wished that she could find Sean. Dave hadn't slept a full night since he'd come home and it was making him touchier than a big black bear with a thorn in his paw. "Hey man," she heard Randy say in greeting to her brother and quickly stuck her head out from behind him shaking it quickly.
Fortunately even as dense as Randy was sometimes, he managed to see the mood Dave was in and took a couple steps back. "Umm do you uhh want me to take Anas into catering, while you umm go… beat up someone? I hear Adam hasn't been hit yet today." Dave just growled low and stomped off throwing his computer bag at Randy as he passed him.
When Dave disappeared from view, Anas let out a deep breath and brushed a hand over her forehead. "Dude I thought you were a goner." Randy nodded quickly looking in the path his friend had stomped off in then turned worried eyes to Anas. "What's wrong with him?" Taking Randy's hand Anas let him lead her to catering where she answered with three simple words. "The Sean Dream." Randy put her bag down on a table where Jay was sitting alone then waited for her to sit before doing so himself. "Fuck, how many nights?" Anas carefully took the computer out of the bag and opening it, turned it on. "Every night since you guys got back from overseas." Randy whistled low and quietly and Jay looked at them confused. "What about every night since we got back?"
Randy looked around then leaned in towards his friend. "Dave's having The Sean Dream." Jay's eyes got big and he looked around quickly. "Don't worry I sent him to beat on Adam," Randy said and Jay smiled for the first time in days. Unfortunately it didn't last long and his eyes fell back on the table sad again. "I'll remember to avoid him then." Randy frowned worried and looked at Anas who sighed again then scooted her chair closer to Jay's. Reaching out a hand Anas put a hand on top of the blonde's drawing his eyes to her. "Jay, I know we don't really know each other well, but my brother thinks a lot of you and I am a good listener. Won't you tell us what's going on with you and Chris?"
Jay sniffled and wiped fresh tears off his face. It seemed like he'd been crying since he'd left the home he shared with Chris. "I think Chris and I are done." Jay said then put his head on the table breaking down again. Frowning with concern, Anas scooted her chair next to his then put an arm around him rubbing his back as she spoke softly in his ear. "Shh, I'm sure it isn't all as bad as that, baby." She whispered and Jay turned his head looking at her through eyes that she had seen herself too often as of late. "It is. He's my everything. I don't even know why he hates me so much. I don't know what I did to… to…" Jay hesitated and Anas leaned in kissing his cheek. "Did what Jay? What's happening? Why are you and Chris fighting?"
Jay took a deep shuddering breath and looked at the table again before speaking. "He's fucking around on me. I think it's Dwayne, but I ain't sure. I've heard him talking to someone. Tellin' em that they were right, that I was just a whiny brat, that they should have chosen them, that he missed them." Jay laughed a watery humorless laugh before turning his eyes on Anas once more. "The funny thing is he thinks I am fuckin' Tomko." Anas frowned and cocked her had to one side. "Travis!? As in that pain in my ass that follows my brother around?" Jay nodded giggling sadly and Anastasia couldn't help but giggle. "I'm sorry Jay. I know it's not funny. It's just…"
Jay shrugged and wiped off his face again. "I know. He's such a fuckin' dumbass." On the other side of the table Randy frowned confused not having a clue why it was funny that Chris thought Jay was cheating on him with that bald goat lookin' jackass and finally broke down and asked. Turning her eyes to Randy, Anas tried to stop giggling long enough to unconfused poor Randy. "Randy, have you ever seen Travis with a man… I mean in a sexual way?" Randy thought for several moments then shook his head no. "Have you ever seen him looking at a guy in a sexual manner?" Again Randy paused before shaking his head no. "Ever heard him gushing about someone's ass or say he thought a guy was cute?" Randy made a face and shook his head fast. "Fuck once time he made this weird sound and stomped off when Jay and I were talkin' about what a fine booty your brother has."
Anastasia nodded giggling at the thought before continuing. "Didn't that seem odd?" Randy thought again then nodded quickly. "Yeah, I mean he was actin' like it was somethin' offensive or some shit. You'd think the guy was…" Randy trailed off and slowly his eyes got big as he looked from Anas to Jay and back. "HE'S STRAIGHT!" Randy screeched and the room quieted looking at him as Anas and Jay laughed. When conversation around them continued Jay just shook his head. "Yeah, Chris and I have been together since he came here from WCW. Not once in that time have I fucked around on him. Not once did I complain while he had his little diversion with Dwayne, or Benny, or fuckin' Trish… the skanky bitch… but he has the balls to not only accuse me of cheating with the straightest most uptight guy on the roster, but does it WHILE he's CHEATING on me again!"
Again confused Randy couldn't help but ask another question. "If he's cheated on you that many times, why do you stay with him?" Jay sighed and stared at the wall in front of him. "I love Chris more than anything in the world and I know he loves me back, or used to. It didn't matter who he fucked, because I always knew that he would come back to me when he was done and it was never anything more than a crush he had on those other people. Now though… whoever it is has poisoned his head. Chris is… Chris is a little insecure. He was hurt a lot before we got together. Used and abused quite literally. When we first hooked up it took forever to get him to believe that Adam and I weren't together anymore and I didn't love him. Heck for awhile he even thought maybe he liked Adam instead of me, but fortunately Adam is a jackass and showed his true colors and Chris realized I loved him. Somehow though we've managed to fall back to his doubting me and me just having to take all his crap only… I ain't sure I can do it this time. Sometimes I can't remember why I fell in love with him anymore"
Anas sighed and rested her cheek against Jay's not sure what to say. "Anastasia, what are you doing here?" She heard a quiet voice ask and three pair of eyes rose to see Stevie Richards watching her and Jay uncertainly. "I'm with my brother Stevie," she said as her hand curled into a ball on Jay's back. When a deep growly voice was heard Anas jumped to see her brother standing behind her. "Is there a problem with that?" She heard him ask glaring holes in Stevie and Anastasia jumped up quickly putting a hand on Dave's chest. "It's alright Dave, please."
Timidly Stevie shook his head then ran off and Anas found herself pinned down by a pair of angry brown eyes. "How does he even know you?" Anas tried to think of a viable answer that would not get people hurt, but unfortunately nothing came to mind. "Does it matter?" she asked quietly and Dave growled softly. When he turned to stomp off after Stevie, Anas caught his arm drawing his eyes back to her. "If you go after him, you'll hurt him trying to get an answer from him that he doesn't have. If you hurt him I will personally kick your ass then Scott will find you and kick your ass. Leave Stevie alone. He was just surprised to see me here since I've never come with you before." After a long pause she finished with, "he doesn't have your answer David, let… it… go."
She could see the muscle twitching in Dave's jaw, a sure sign that he was pissed off enough to not care who he hurt. "I will find out who this motherfucker is," Dave promised softly and the hairs stood up on the back of her neck, but she forced herself to stand there and nod rather than run… anywhere he wasn't and it was safe. Turning sharply Dave stomped back out and Anas sat heavily again and Jay turned his eyes to her. "Sounds like I'm not the only one with guy problems." Anas smiled weakly nodding. "You have no idea."
