Dave walked into the locker room after his match, totally wiped out. Facing Chris Benoit was a pain in the ass on the best of days, but today had been even worse than usual. He already had a lot on his mind, with this new angle, and being cast in this angle facing his best friend and current lover, Randy Orton was also wearing on him. He could tell that it was wearing on Randy, as well, because he had been acting distant for the past week. Looking around, Dave noticed that Randy had already left, which was odd, considering they had ridden in together, and were, as per usual, rooming together. Figuring that Randy was off talking to someone, Dave headed over to his bag to get his clothes together before heading over to take a shower. Opening his bag, Dave saw an envelope with his name in it on top of his clothes. Noticing it was Randy's writing, he opened it with a smile, figuring that it was Randy telling him where he was waiting at, considering Dave had done this to Randy before when something had, err, come up.
Dear Dave,
Before I say anything else, I want to tell you that I understand if you never want to see me again. I hope you do, but I understand if you don't, considering how your marriage worked out. I guess you have an idea of what I want to say by now, huh? Well, I better tell you all of it anyway.
I went to the doctor last week for a regular physical. Before you panic, I DO NOT have an STD, don't worry. Now, as I was saying, he checked me over and did find something odd. He called in another doctor from a different section of the hospital. After running some more tests, they took me to a private lounge and asked to call someone for me, but after I refused, they finally decided to tell me what they found.
I don't know how else to tell you, except to come straight out and say it.
I'm pregnant.
I know, how can a man be pregnant, right? Well, the way the doctor explained it to me; there are a lot of men who actually COULD become pregnant, if they swung the right way. It turns out that a lot of men have wombs. I never knew that, but then they always say that humans evolve to last.
I understand if you want nothing to do with a freak like me. Hell, to be honest, if I was you, I wouldn't want anything to do with me, either. It's not like we were in a relationship or anything, we were just "friends with benefits", isn't that what you told me in the beginning?
I was the one who was stupid enough to fall in love with you.
I have pretty much kept this to myself, but I did have to have SOMEONE to talk to, so I talked to Paul about it. He was very sweet, and promised me that he would help me with the twins, so you don't have to worry; I won't have to raise them alone.
Well, I have to go, so I'll see you next week. I moved all the stuff out of the room, and went to stay with Paul, and the keys to the rental are in the bottom of your bag. I'm sorry, Beast. I love you.
Randy
After reading, and re-reading, and again re-reading the letter, I am starting to grow past the initial confusion. If what I read is correct, Randy is telling me that he is pregnant with twins, they are mine, and he's leaving me. He's leaving me for Hunter?
I DON'T FUCKING THINK SO!!!!!!
Tearing out of the arena, not even bothering to change or shower, I head back to the hotel, calling JR to find out what room Paul is in. Paul is such a fucking dead man when I get a hold of him!
"Open the fucking door!" Dave screamed, pounding on Paul's door.
"Wait a damn minute!" Paul shouted, accompanied with the sound of what appeared to be rustling clothes.
"Where the fuck is he, you thieving bastard?" Dave screamed, grabbing Paul by the throat as soon as the door opened.
Looking around the room, Dave noticed that the bed was rumpled and the bathroom door was closed. Throwing Paul into the nearest wall as hard as he could, Dave stormed over to the bathroom door, almost tearing it off its hinges with the force he used to open it.
"Randy? Baby, are you in here?" Dave called to the person in the shower.
"What would Randy be doing in MY shower, you idiot?" Paul asked, stalking up behind Dave, wrapping his arms behind him in a bear hug.
"Because he said he was coming here, you bastard! It didn't take you long to molest him, either, did it? I should fucking KILL you!" Dave screamed, slamming back and knocking Paul into the wall again, shaking it badly.
"I don't know what the fuck you think you're doing, but I suggest you back the fuck away from Paul and calm your sorry ass down, NOW!" Mike stated in an unnaturally calm voice as he walked into the room from the bathroom, soaking wet, brandishing a knife.
"What are you doing here, and where the FUCK is Randy?" Dave asked, still holding Paul, but looking warily at Mike.
"I don't know where Randy is, but if you don't get your hands off of Paul right now, you're not going to be capable of asking anyone else either." Mike responded.
"He's not here?" Dave asked, looking lost as he backed away from Hunter blindly, stumbling backwards, he tripped over Mike's shoes and fell onto the bed. Looking back at Mike, the shattered expression on his face alerted Mike and Paul to the fact that something was seriously wrong. Knowing that Paul was drawing his ire, Mike wrapped a blanket around his waist, effectively covering himself, and hesitantly walked over to Dave.
"What's wrong, Dave?" Mike asked gently.
"It's Randy. He let me a note saying he'd be here, with *this* asshole" Dave said quietly, still sneering at Paul.
"First off, I will thank you to keep a watch on your tongue when referring to *my* boyfriend. Second, why would Randy be here? Did the two of you have a fight?" Mike asked, motioning Dave towards a couch in the room and sitting down with him.
"He's gone, Mike. I don't understand what I did wrong. Everything seemed to be going so well." Dave sobbed, lowering his head in despair.
"Well, what happened?" Mike asked, nodding to Paul, as he snuck out of the room, mouthing that he was going to go find Randy and drag him back here, over his shoulder, if necessary.
"What should I do, Mike?" Dave asked, an hour later after he finished spilling the tale of what had happened between himself and Randy. Truth be told, he was still upset about what had happened, but he was also starting to grow angry. What the hell did Randy mean they were just friends, anyways!
Hadn't he told Randy how he felt about him every day for the last six months? Okay, maybe not in words, but definitely in actions! Yeah, it had started as friends with benefits, but it had grown into so much more, and he had thought Randy had seen that and felt the same way, so why did he run off and not even give Dave the chance to do anything about it! Couldn't he have a little faith? At least tell him about his children in person? The more he thought about it, the angrier he got!
The door opening shocked him, as deep in thought as he was. Seeing Randy walking in the door with Paul, however, did far more than shock him, it drove him right out of his mind with anger, seeing Paul's hand on the small of Randy's back was probably what did it, he thought later, it drove him right out of his mind with jealousy.
"Get your grubby fucking paws off of him, you bastard!" Dave screeched, once again jumping at Paul.
"How're you feeling, Randy?" Mike asked, totally ignoring Dave and Paul, who looked like they were trying to kill each other with their bare hands.
"Scared, upset, tired. You know how it is." Randy replied with a sigh, heading over to sit back on the couch and watch the proceedings, he continued "They been like this long?"
"Yeah, Dave came in here tonight ready to kill Paul. Did you HAVE to mention Paul's name in that letter of yours? He's not going to be worth a shit for his match tomorrow. Hell, neither of them is!" Mike responded with a smirk, nodding when Paul happened to land a particularly hard left swing.
"I didn't think he would take it as I wanted to be with Paul, Mike. You understand that, right?" Randy asked, smiling just as viciously when Dave's right hook connected with Paul's jaw.
"Think we should stop them?" Mike asked, watching the two men break apart and begin to circle each other warily.
"We could, but this way they get rid of their aggression, and we don't have to deal with it." Randy replied, noticing how they had come together again, this time in a basic wrestling grappling hold.
"So, you ready to talk to him now?" Mike asked as the two men yet again broke apart.
"You two ready to quit yet?" Randy asked, figuring this was as good a time as any to talk to Dave.
"Baby, are you okay?" Dave asked, rushing over to Randy and kneeling down between his legs, taking one of Randy's hands in his own.
"Well, I'm tired, I'm cranky, my ankles are beginning to swell, oh yeah, and I'm *pregnant* for God's sake!" Randy screeched, tears beginning to well in his eyes.
"Baby, it's all okay, now. I'm here now!" Dave said, pulling Randy into his arms.
"Yeah, but I didn't want it to happen this way. I'm a fucking *freak* Dave!" Randy cried, trying to pull away from Dave.
"Now you listen to me, Randy Keith Orton! You are *not* a freak! You are a beautiful man, whom I happen to be in love with." Dave told him, hugging Randy tight against him.
"You love me? You're not just saying that?" Randy asked, in what he knew to be a truly pathetic voice.
"Of course I love you. I've loved you for a long time. I thought you knew that, Baby. I'm just not good with words. I want us to be together. I want us to raise those precious little babies together. I want us to create more babies together" Dave murmured, lowering his head to kiss Randy gently, a sort of chaste kiss that instantly spoke of forever, but left Randy wanting more, much more.
"God, Dave, I love you." Randy said, smiling up at Dave as their kiss broke.
"So this means you'll marry me, right?" Dave asked, lowering his head down to Randy yet again.
"Uhm boys? You two want to get your own room, or should we go get another one and leave you here?" Paul asked, smiling at the two men, still so engrossed in each other that they paid him no mind, but quickly broke into laughter as he heard the voice of his own true love, asking "So, Darlin', does this mean *we* can have a baby?"
End.
