Part 9

Sean walked back to the other side of the room now that everything seemed to be under control. He settled back into his chair and eyed the group of men, wondering where things would go from here. He had already decided that he believed Shawn and Chris's story. It wouldn't be the first time that Hunter had sacrificed someone else to be close to Shawn. If he had to reveal his secret to Scotty and Kevin to get them to see the truth, he would. For right now though he was going to sit back, watch, and maybe do a little instigating.

"Obviously we aren't done with this discussion, but damn I've worked up an appetite. How about we find something to eat."

"Worked up an appetite, Kev?" Sean asked. Kevin raised an eyebrow in question wondering what point Sean was trying to make. "I can see that. I mean you expended a lot of energy by getting knocked on your ass. Then there was that all work trying to get him off of you. No wonder you're hungry."

Sean's smile wasn't diminished in the least by the fulminating glare Kevin sent in his direction. Chris, who had his face buried against Shawn's arm, sounded as if he were coughing or choking. Shawn used his free hand to pound Chris gently on the back and was biting his lip trying to keep a straight face. Scotty edged closer to Sean.

"Hey Chico?"

"Yeah, Scotty?"

"Run." After the single word from Scott, Sean took another look at Kevin. He leaped from the chair and bounced from the room just as Kevin's bellow shook the room. "Get your ass back here Sean! That's not funny!"

As Kevin followed Sean out of the room, the three remaining men burst into laughter. After they had calmed themselves, Scotty looked to Shawn and Chris. "I'm pretty sure Kev believes you now, but you know he always wants to believe the best of Hunter. I think at one point we all did. I'm glad you two found out what happened. I have a few questions, but they can wait. Right now, for Sean's sake, I think I'll go hide the kitchen knives. Why don't you two join us so we can get this settled."

Shawn smiled glad that most of the battle was over. There was something he needed to find out from Chris though and he didn't think it could wait. "Give us a couple of minutes Scotty. We'll be there."

With a knowing look at Shawn, Scott left the room to search for Kevin and Sean.

Shawn grabbed Chris's hand and led him over to the couch. When they were both seated he pulled Chris's hand into his lap and looked into his eyes. "Chris, there's something I need to ask you. It's really important."

"You know you can ask me anything Shawn." Chris's smile was tempered with worry. He had the feeling Shawn was upset about something, but what it might be, he had no clue.

"When you were arguing with Kevin earlier, you brought up…the stories about the Kliq. I need to know if… What you said to Kevin…he's not the only one that was there. I guess what I'm really trying to ask is, do you think I'm a…" Chris's fingers over his lips cut off the rest of Shawn's question. It hurt to see the tears in Shawn's eyes and know he was inadvertently responsible for them.

"Shawn, stop. I don't think you're a whore. Hell, I don't even think Kevin is a whore. I was trying to make a point and I didn't think about how you would interpret it. I'm not innocent. I've had sex with people I wasn't "in love" with. Having sex doesn't make you a whore. A whore, to me, is someone that uses sex to control someone or to get something from them. I don't see you as the kind of person to be with someone unless you care about them. I'm sorry if what I said hurt you. I never meant for that to happen." Chris pulled Shawn into his arms and held him tightly. "I love you, Shawn."

Shawn snuggled in his arms for a moment. When he pulled back he smirked at Chris. "Ya know, at the moment, we're actually alone."

Chris smiled and looked around the room before leaning closer to Shawn. "Yes, we are."

Quickly straddling Chris's lap, Shawn rested his arms on his shoulders and leaned in to whisper in his ear, "I'm a really huge fan of Y2J. Watching him take on Big Sexy was a really big turn-on. Do you think you could get me a more… personal introduction?"

Chris couldn't help laughing, but it ended in a choked whimper when Shawn started nibbling on his earlobe. "Oh, I think that could be arranged. In fact why don't I take care of that right now." He placed his hands on Shawn's hips as he turned to capture Shawn's mouth in a steamy kiss. He twisted slightly and gently drew Shawn with him as he lay down on the couch.

Chris ran his hands up Shawn's back to tangle in his hair as Shawn slipped one hand down his chest to trace the lines of his ribs. Shawn shifted slightly slipping his thigh between Chris's legs. Shawn growled as he thrust his hips, grinding his burgeoning erection against Chris's own. Chris whimpered loudly and threw his leg across Shawn's hip, using it to hold Shawn in place as he pushed against him in return.

Just as Chris tugged Shawn's hair to trail his mouth down his neck, Shawn stiffened slightly. He'd just had the weirdest sensation, as if…he were being watched. He opened his eyes and quickly scanned the room. He groaned in aggravation and whispered to his not-quite-yet lover, "Chris, sweetheart…stop." Chris, almost past the point of hearing him, pulled his mouth from Shawn's neck and looked up in surprise to see a very annoyed look on Shawn's face.

"Is there something we can help you with Sean?" Chris tensed with the realization that there was someone else in the room. A light blush stained his cheeks as he realized Sean had been watching them.

"Nope. I'm fine thanks." Sean's amused smile as he crossed the room and dropped into a chair only served to annoy Shawn more.

"In that case, do you mind?" Shawn gave a pointed look towards the door.

"Well, since the door was open, I figured you wouldn't mind an audience." Shawn dropped his head against Chris's shoulder. As he shifted his weight, his thigh brushed against Chris's still prominent erection. Chris moaned loudly against Shawn's throat, his blush increasing three-fold. Shawn almost considered ignoring Sean's presence and finishing what they had started. Two things stopped him. He wasn't sure how Chris would feel about being watched. He also thought their first time together should be somewhat more private. He also considered dragging Chris up to his room, but he wasn't sure he could walk that far in his present condition.

Shawn lifted his head and in a frustrated tone said, "Sean?"

"Yes Shawn?" Accompanied by the ever-present smile.

"Go. Away." If this didn't work, he'd beg.

"Sorry Shawn. No can do." Sean leaned forward placing his elbows on his knees, trying to peak beneath Shawn to eye Chris.

"Why the hell not?"

Just then Scott's voice rang out from the hallway. "Sean? Did you find them?" As he walked into the room he took in the scene before him with a raised brow. "For god's sake Sean. I told you to come get them for dinner, not watch them have each other for dinner."

As Shawn carefully pulled himself off of Chris he heard Chris whisper under his breath, "what next? Are they going to buy us matching chastity belts?"

Sean, who had heard Chris despite him whispering, snickered loudly. "Don't give them any ideas." Shawn replied with a grimace as he helped Chris up from the couch.

As the three men crossed the room to join Scott in the hallway, Chris tugged on Shawn's hand, pulling him to a stop. He leaned in with his lips close to Shawn's ear and whispered, "I swear if we don't get away from them soon, I'm going to throw you on top of the table and have my way with you, audience or not." Chris then let go of Shawn's hand and followed the others to the kitchen. Shawn raised an eyebrow in response and decided that at least now he had an answer about how Chris felt about an audience. He smiled and wandered to the kitchen to find the others.
