Chapter 2
"Ahhh this is pure bliss," Dom said as he stretched and sprawled on the warm sand.
Billy looked over at him from where he sat. He followed the fine contours of Dom's body from his ankles, up his legs, to his thighs, stomach and chest. The suit hugged every inch of Dom's body, leaving very little to Billy's already over active imagination. He pushed the obscene thoughts that flooded his mind away and stood up.
"I'm kinda hungry." He looked around, but saw no sign of Elijah. 'Where could he have gone he thought?' "Come on Dom let's go grab something to eat," he said standing over him and looking down.
"Please don't make me get up from here man," Dom said opening his eyes and squinting up at Billy, "this is much to comfortable."
"Come on ya lazy git."
"No."
"Dom get up ya bastard," Billy said leaning down to give him a flick on his forehead and that's when Dom grabbed him pulling him down.
"Why don't you come down here," he said laughing as Billy laid in a heap on his chest. For a moment Billy was to startled to move and then he looked up at Dom who had that famous cheeky grin on his face.
"Are you trying to kill me?" Billy asked.
"No. I just wanted you closer to me."
Billy stared at Dom like he sprouted three heads and then scrambled to get up. "You're a nutter mate."
"Yes, but that's why you love me," Dom said batting his eye lashes and making kissey faces at Billy.
Billy shook his head. "I'm going to get something to eat," he said, "you can lay there and roast if you'd like."
"Oh all right. Can't even get any rest around here on my holiday," he said standing up and jogging to catch up with Billy.
"Where's Elijah?" Billy asked as they entered the house.
"He must come back in while we were still catching some waves," Dom said as he made his way to the bathroom. "I'm gonna take a quick shower."
Billy went back to the spare bedroom and stripped out of his wet suit. He smiled as he had visions of sneaking into the shower with Dom. That would sure surprise him he thought. Right, no time for that. He riffled through his suitcase choosing a pair of jeans and black shirt to put on. His shower could wait.
Billy was looking through the cabinets when Dom emerged from the bathroom hair still wet and sticking up. "What's for dinner?" he asked.
"What are you in the mood for?" Billy asked turning to face him.
"Is that an invitation Bill?" he asked winking at him as he stepped closer.
"Cut it out Dom," Billy said pushing him away. His heart was pounding so loud he was sure Dom could hear it.
"Awww you don't like me," Dom said pouting.
"You're impossible," Billy laughed.
Dom just grinned. "Mind if I put some music on?" he asked as he wandered into the living room going through Elijah's CD collection.
"Be my guest."
A few minutes later the sound of Stone Temple Pilots filled the house.
"So what's it gonna be?" Dom said hopping up on the counter and swinging his legs like an eager five year old.
"Don't know. Lij doesn't really have much here."
"Why don't we order out, that way we don't have to suffer through your cooking."
Billy's mouth flew open in protest and he punched Dom in the arm. "I'll have you know I'm a very good cook."
"Abuse, abuse!" Dom yelled. "You really should see someone about that violent streak you got going there mate."
"Only you bring it out in me," Billy shot back.
"Well, don't I feel special."
"You should," Billy said grinning.
"Why's that? Am I the only guy you're hitting on?"
Dom's words stopped Billy dead in his tracks for the second time that day. It wasn't like they didn't take the piss out of each other time they had the chance, but this was different. It felt different. He was about to respond when Elijah walked in the front door carrying pizza and beer.
"Whose hungry?"
"Thank God your here Lij. You've saved us from Billy's cooking."
Billy went to swipe at Dom again, but he jumped away laughing as he ran into the living room.
"I see you two have been having fun," Elijah said turning to Billy.
"Oh yeah the fun never stops."
Elijah giggled. "Come on let's eat."
Two hours, two large pizza's and a case of beer later Dom, Billy and Elijah all laid on the living room floor sprawled out.
"This has been fun. Just like New Zealand," Dom said rubbing his stomach.
"Minus the freezing glue, prosthetic feet, ears, wigs and 4:30 AM calls," added Billy.
"We had some good times didn't we?" Dom said rolling onto his stomach and propping his head up on his hand.
"Aye, good times," Billy said. He looked over at Dom and nodded his head toward Elijah who was sound asleep.
"That guy can sleep anywhere, anytime."
"Some things never change," Billy said smiling.
"Should we cover him up?"
Billy stood and grabbed the blanket off the couch that Elijah had obviously laid out for himself or Dom and placed it gently over him. Elijah never even stirred.
"I guess we should be getting to bed then," Billy said as he stretched.
"I guess so," Dom said standing.
"You take the spare bedroom. I'll grab a blanket off Lij's bed and sleep on the couch."
"Why don't we just share the spare bed? That way if Lij wakes up he can have his own bed." Billy gave him a strange look. "It's not like we haven't shared a bed before. Remember New Zealand?"
"Of course I remember New Zealand," Billy said.
"Well?"
"OK, but if you hog the blankets like you did down there your arse will be on the floor."
"Deal," Dom said laughing.
"I'm gonna hit the shower. I've got sand in places I don't want to even mention," Billy said as they walked back to the spare bedroom. He took clean clothes from his suitcase and headed for the bathroom.
"Goodnight Billy...in case I'm asleep when you come back out."
Billy stopped and smiled, "night Dom."
Dom discarded all his clothes save his boxers into a pile beside the bed. He slid beneath the blankets, let out a sigh and closed his eyes. Moments later his eyes were open. He shifted under the cover and rolled onto his side. He always had trouble falling asleep in strange places. OK so this wasn't that strange of a place, but it was different from home. He wasn't in his bed with the lumpy mattress and big over sized pillows. He closed his eyes again and a few minutes his thoughts drifted to Billy as usual. Sitting up he let out a long sigh, ready to turn the light on and rummage through the room for a book or something to read and that's when the idea hit him. He pushed the idea out of his mind as silly and childish at first, then curiosity and yes, lust got the better of him.
He slowly approached the bathroom door, his heart beating louder with each step. It was slightly ajar, warm steam wafting from the inside. He caught his breath as he saw the outline of Billy's backside through the near sheer shower curtain as he washed his hair. He softly hummed a tune that seemed familiar to Dom, yet he couldn't place it. Dom felt his insides begin to swirl like a host of butterflies had been released in his stomach. Spying on your best mate in the shower wasn't exactly kosher, but how could he resist? He leaned in closer, feeling the steam, smelling the mixture of fragrant shampoo and soap. He closed his eyes and let it wash over him. Opening his eyes he took one last look and quietly backed away.
