It was early afternoon and a light misty rain fell over the city. Dom stood at the window watching it and the people rushing through the streets to get away from it. I'd be out there dancing and singing in it like old Gene Kelly he thought smiling to himself.

Unfortunately for the next two days he was pretty much stuck inside for the convention. It wasn't that he didn't like making appearances at them. He knew that fans traveled from all around the world and spent their hard earned money to meet them, but sometimes he felt like fish in a bowl put on display for everyone to stare and gawk at. The fans meant well, but sometimes they were a bit over zealous and on more than one occasion he'd had his bum pinched and full on the mouth kisses among other things.

He turned and looked at the figure sleeping on the bed. True form he could sleep anywhere anytime. They'd both been up early that morning for a panel discussion that had gone well despite the fact they were nearly twenty minutes late for it. He blamed Elijah for it. He grinned thinking of their late night activities. He turned his attention back to the window and the falling rain. His gaze followed a brightly colored umbrella that made it's way slowly down the street. It paused and Dom pressed his face to the glass to see what had caused it to stop. He laughed out loud when he saw the person beneath it jump into a puddle and skip on down the sidewalk.

He felt two arms wrap around his waist and a warm kiss upon the nape of his neck as a sleepy voice said, "some of us are trying to sleep around her ya know." Dom turned around and looked into the sleepy eyes of Elijah. His hair was tousled and his clothes wrinkled and disheveled. He looked beautiful to Dom.

"Sorry love," he said turning to face him and kissing him softly on the lips.

"S'ok," Elijah mumbled still half asleep. "Still raining I see."

"Yeah," Dom replied turning back to look out the window. Elijah felt warm and comforting. He placed his hands over top of Elijah's, letting out a sigh.

"You know what rainy day's are perfect for," Elijah said resting his chin on Dom's shoulder.

"What's that?" Dom asked grinning and keeping his eyes fixed on the rain and the colorful umbrella's that now dotted the street below.

"Come to bed and I'll show you," Elijah whispered in his ear.

Dom closed his eyes for a moment and smiled, then turned around as Elijah took his hand and lead him over to the bed.

The End
