His purple hair fanned across the black satin pillow on the king size water bed. It was hotter then hell in this damn mausoleum. Sweat formed over his naked skin. His forearm resting over his hazel eyes. He was not asleep nor was he pretending to be. Especially not here...In the Vampire's lair. The home of The Brood. He could hear the shallow breathing of his lover keeping time with his own. The storm had broke out sometime while they were in the basement and it was far to dangerous to chance driving this late at night or this early in the morning, whichever your preference were. Matt was sound asleep but then again Matt could sleep standing straight up in a phone booth. The moment that beautiful mass of inky darkness hit the pillows, he was asleep. Unless of course Jeff had other plans of keeping him awake but that was not in order this night. Jeff had known for a long time that Matty wanted Edge and denial was his dearest friend. At least until just a few hours ago when Matty confessed to him that he was "So fucking totally obsessed with Edge that his body ached." Tears fell from his brother's grief stricken dark eyes. Obsessed. Matty's choice of word. Agonizing pain tore through him. He had never really thought of Matt wanting to be with another.

"What a wicked web we weave." Jeff nearly laughed aloud, knowing damn well that he had an obsession of his own. His little secret. Christian. Maybe they should swap... but then that left Edge's feelings for him. Edge was the type that wanted it all and yet wanted to share nothing. Jeff exhaled the air he was holding in his lungs; Setting upright, tossing the sheet off to the side as his feet touched the thickly carpeted floor beside the bed. Casting a quick glance back at Matt who remained lost in some far away dream that he always use to share but now Edge was in those dreams and he was on the outside looking in so to speak. He lit the candle next to the bed, tossing on his jeans, hoping against all hope that it was a power failure and that The Brood didn't actually chose to live without electricity. But he expected it was the latter.

Stepping out into the hallway, he gave his eyes a moment to adjust to the darkness that spread out like a blanket in front of him. Where was he going? He was hungry as hell and though they "pretended" to be Vampires, he knew for a fact that they had to have real food around here somewhere. All he had to do was find the kitchen...and how hard could it be finding the kitchen in this big 'ole crypt?

The cold wood floor chilled his feet and he wished he had the hindsight to grab his socks as well as his pants. His hazel eyes darted around the shadows as he descended the long flight of stairs. The candle threw off adequate light though not as much as he would have preferred, it would have to do.

An unusual scent captured his attention. Incense. A deep, musky scent coming from the left of his darkened vision. Instinct told him to keep going straight but his spirit of adventure turned his feet to the left. Behind the door that was open ajar, he heard low chanting sounds. "This is too fucking weird." Jeff whispered as he popped his head in the door. His heart skipped a beat at the sight he saw; Christian sat on the floor in front of a dim fire. His back towards the door. Sandalwood was the smell of the incense that burned from within the room.

And just where the hell was Edge, Jeff wondered as he stepped into the room; setting his candle on the table beside the black leather sofa. Christian did not bother to turn as Jeff stood behind him. He wore one of his trade mark white ruffled shirts, unbuttoned to the waist, and a pair of black jeans.

"Christian," Jeff whispered kneeling behind him. Christian did not respond but instead he stared into the fire that glowed in the fireplace. The red embers of the fire light played along his pale skin, dancing on the thickness of golden blond hair as his cornflower blue eyes looked down at the chipped black paint that covered his well bitten fingernails. "What are you thinking? Do you even speak?" Jeff asked as his fingers ran through the silken texture of hair. It was as soft as he had dreamed it would be so many times. He lowered his head, inhaling the deep scent of strawberry shampoo. Strawberry for Christ's sake. He knew precisely what Christian smelled like. The richness of strawberry, the softness of creme mingled with the cinnamon candy that he always ate. It haunted his thoughts day and night, filled his dreams. "What the hell are you listening to?" Jeff asked, moving to the stereo. Shaking his head, he pushed the stop button then turned the dial of the radio. Sounds of Berlin's "Take my breath away" filled the space between them.

"Better?" Jeff asked returning to Christian's side "Christ, I wish you would just talk to me. I know there are words in there, baby. Just talk to me." Jeff pleaded, stroking his lips over Christian's neck. Christian's body jolted at this strange touch. Thrill shot through him as he looked into the hazel eyes of Jeff Hardy.

"You wanna dance with me? Do you like to dance, Christian?" Jeff stood, pulling Christian's willing body up toward him. For a brief moment they stood there staring at one another, neither moving to the song as it played until Jeff took the intuitive to place his hands on Christian's hips, pulling him closer as their bodies melded and swayed as one.

~Through the hourglass I saw you, in time you slipped away ~When the mirror crashed I called you, and turned to hear you say ~If only for today I am unafraid

~Take my breath away

"You are something else but you probably already know that don't you?" Jeff murmured against Christian's soft cheek. "You're so damn beautiful." There bodies flowed together in time with the music. He never danced with Matty. Matty didn't like to dance the way he danced but he'd be damned if Christian didn't seem to enjoy the dance. His hands curled around the purple tresses, weaving the color through his long fingers. Jeff's body heated and he ground his cock against Christian to let him know the effect he was having on him. "I really want to kiss you, Christian. I want it so bad."

Their lips touched slowly at first then built to a near savage heat. Christian meeting him stroke for stroke, breath for breath. Their tongues circled and danced as their hands explored the other's bodies freely. Jeff marked each sensuous curve of Christian to memory. Cinnamon taste waifed from Christian to Jeff as he took the chance at deepening the kiss. Moving them both towards the leather sofa, easing their bodies down. It felt as though they were tumbling to the clouds.

~Take my breath away
~My love, take my breath away

Christian responded accordingly but seemed to be holding back. "It's alright, Christian. He won't hurt you. I'll take care of you, Precious. Do you trust me?"

Christian's lips answered the words his voice would not speak as they laid claim to Jeff's body. Nervous fingers unbuttoned dark cargo jeans as Jeff whispered soothing words of encouragement. Jeff helped pull the jeans off his hips, leaning up on his calves. "Mmmm...baby." Jeff groaned as Christian's lips ran over his bare chest. Sharp teeth nipped at the flat washboard stomach as Jeff pushed the shirt off Christian's soft shoulders. His own lips smoothing over the broad shoulders as he dropped the shirt to the floor. "Let me make love to you, Christian. You don't need to speak. I see it in your eyes." Jeff whispered as his hand moved from the cheek bone, sliding to the nape of Christian's neck.

His taste was warm, salty, heady and Jeff savored it as a man would water in the middle of the hot, dry desert. "Oh, God Christian." He moaned as Christian's lips found the hard end of his cock, his tongue just swirling over the tip. Jeff fisted his hair, arching his hips. He wanted this to be different for Christian. To be soft, loving, gentle. Wrapping his ankles around Christian's thin waist his eyes closed as Christian sucked his hard shaft tenderly at first but then built pressure. "It's alright, baby. Slow...It's alright." Jeff encouraged, smoothing at the thickness of blond hair. "Christian...I could fall in love with you so damn easily." He groaned as his hips moved with the slow rhythm Christian set forth.

"Come here baby. I don't want it this way...Not yet." Jeff purred, pulling Christian up to his lips. Kissing him so deeply it stunned him and he knew what it was doing to Christian. "Make love to me, Christian....please...I want to bottom for you." Jeff encouraged.

A startled cry escaped Jeff as Christian was jerked from him. His hazel eyes flinging open to see Edge standing in front of Christian. "Jeff, He belongs to me. You know better. He is mine. You will never have him." Edge hissed the territorial warning.

"You stupid son of a bitch." Jeff hissed as he flung his body towards Edge. Christian's eyes widened as the two men fell to the floor in a wild crumpled heap. Edge pinned Jeff to the floor, his fingers tightening around the pale throat. "You little bitch. You could have had it all..." Edge hissed as Jeff struggled for air. "But what you can't have is Christian." Edge exclaimed as he smashed the back of Jeff's head violently against the floor beneath his back.

"Jeff...No." The sound of Matt Hardy's voice sliced through the air. His body landing on Edge's, knocking him off his younger brother. The table beside the leather sofa shook with the force of Edge's foot hitting it. Flames moved quickly up the heavy drapes. Christian lifted the metal fire prod, burying it in the center of Matt's back. Blood splattered across his arms and chest as he grabbed at his lover, pulling him from the fire to the safely of the grass.

The rain had ended as the two men watched the fire fighters fight against the flames that destroyed the large house.

Two burnt bodies were placed side by side as the ambulance drove away with Gangrel in route to the hospital. "Thy brother's keeper" Edge smiled down at Christian almost wickidly. "I love you." Christian murmured as his eyes drifted to the men placing the burnt bodies of Jeff and Matt Hardy in the hurst to be taken back to North Carolina.
